How
often have computer issues hijacked your day?
Instead of
focusing on your core business or revenue-generating activities,
you were shackled to your office waiting for a computer
technician to arrive. Not the best use of company resources, is
it? You have probably thought, “There must be a better way?”
Well - now there is!
Computer
Doc Inc. is a leading provider of managed services, dedicated to
supporting the computer and networking needs of your business.
Since 1997, we have been working hard to ensure that the
networks our customers depend on function as efficiently and as
reliably as the day they were first installed. With our new
innovative network response program called
FIRST RESPONDER, you can be
assured that your days of waiting around are over!
First
Responder is 24x7x365 monitoring service that provides
visibility into your network allowing us to immediately
determine the root cause of any computer or network issue, and
reduce the task of issue diagnosis from hours to mere minutes —
resulting in substantial cost savings and downtime reduction.
Remote Monitoring
First Responder delivers the broadest
availability, performance and capacity monitoring in its class.
First Responder enables us to monitor more
devices, more services and more operating systems with greater
scalability than any other solution in the space, with the
flexibility to use agents or probes for monitoring.

What can we monitor?
First
Responder can monitor the availability and performance of
virtually any IP-enabled device, including desktops, laptops,
servers, printers, copiers and routers. N-central uses software
agents and probes to gather all critical data and build an
inventory of devices on your network. See
the devices & services you can monitor.
Detailed monitoring data
Instead of merely indicating whether a device is working or
failed, First
Responder reports more granular information. From our
First
Responder dashboard, we can easily see whether a device
is normal, failed, nearing failure, misconfigured, disconnected,
reporting stale data or not reporting data at all. This allows
us to assess and repair network problems more quickly. What's
more, all of these states offer configurable thresholds, so you
decide when warnings need to be issued to our technical staff.

First
Responder monitors your network.
Monitoring with Agents and Probes
With First
Responder, we have the flexibility to monitor your
network with agents, probes or both. Agents are critical for
monitoring mobile devices (such as laptops) that are not always
connected to the network, while probes are a more cost-effective
way to monitor a large number of devices within a network.
First
Responder's ability to use both agents and probes allows
us to get a full view of your network in the most flexible and
efficient way possible!
